Dancing Queen

Here is my baby girl dancing! Oh it's so funny, at least I think so. She does a pretty good job dancing to nursery rhymes though she prefers some of the songs that are to your right!
Pause the music, push play, and enjoy...

Thanks Meg for helping her dance.

Ethan loves...

Did you think that I wouldn't do a post on Ethan? Well I planned one and here it goes...
Music
When we were in MN at Christmas, we went to the Children's Museum and he got to play guitar and be in a music video.
Diggers
This was waiting for us when we got home from MN. Ethan LOVES it. Anyone know where it came from? There wasn't a card and we weren't home when it came. We'd really like to thank whoever made it. It's so cool!
Scooby-Doo
I rememeber watching this show when I was a kid. I only ever watched it when I was sick. Scooby-Doo and The Brady Bunch, I don't know why I only watch them when I was sick, I just did!
Being silly
What more can I say?
Emma
Ethan is the best big brother to his little sister! I know he loves her, just look at his face as he admires her.

Emma loves...

There have been a few interesting and fun things that Emma has discovered and fallen in love with lately. I just wanted to share...
I've been catching up on the series and every time I put it on and she is with me, she watches with me.
Yup, she's an MJ fan too! Her favorite song is "Beat It!" And she dances to it oh so cute!
What 8 month old doesn't love Elm0? I first noticed it when we went to the library and she picked the book with Elmo on it. She now smiles and giggles when she sees Elmo!
And last but not least...
First herself, she gets the biggest smile on her face when she looks in the mirror or sees this picture which is the background on my computer. But she also adores her big brother. Always has and I think she always will.

Mike's new "toy"

We got our tax refund yesterday. We've discussed what to get and decided on a certain something. Mike was so excited last night that he ran out to Costco after the kids were in bed to get it.
This is the most excited picture that I could get.
And here it is!!
I've always had a hard time getting Emma to watch anything, but not this morning. I think she was mezmerized that the pictures were as big as she is.
Look at her face!

Pink and yellow to honor Rachel and Rebecca

My best friend from high school lost her two youngest girls this last week. To honor them, we all wore pink and yellow, thier favorite colors, Sunday to church.

(oops, my fault you can't quite see Ethan's yellow tie!)

I asked Mike to wear a yellow tie because I didn't think he had a pink tie, but he pulled out his Valentie's Day tie that had pink on it!
We will definetely miss Rachel and Rebecca, especially because Rebecca and Ethan had an arranged marriage. I guess he'll have to wait for her.
Love you both!

30!!!

A year older and wiser too? I'm not sure. But I did have a GREAT birthday this year. It all started the weekend before. Mike and I went to the temple for the first time in a few months. It was really nice to go back and feel the peace that comes to me and my home when we go to the temple.
Sunday, we had dinner at my parents' house and my mom made me a cake. Mmmm.
Here is Ethan helping her bring me the cake. Yup, there are only 3 candles on the cake because there weren't enough candles in the house. Do I need to buy 2 packs from now on?
Monday, my birthday, Mike took the day off and let me kick back and relax. He fed Emma, changed Emma and even brought me these flowers.
I only got rid of them today. But they smelled oh so good and made my house smell so good all the time.
And then I got a great present from Tina. She knows me all too well. It was for me, but really for Ethan...
My little "Butt Rocker!"
Thanks to all my friends and family who helped this birthday be one of the bests yet!

2nd

Now on to seconds...
Ethan went sledding with Mike and this time it was a success. The last time he went was 2 years ago in Minnesota. It was a bad experience from the time we got out of the car. Ethan fell and got cold snow on his hands. Then on his first run down the hill, snow flew up in his face. This time however, Ethan had a BLAST!
(I don't have any more pictures but here goes the rest of the list)
*We are almost done reading the Book of Mormon with Ethan for the second time.
*I watched "Mall Cop" for the second time this weekend-very funny movie.
*Mike and I missed the temple session we were waiting for and had to wait another half hour in the chapel for just the second time, it was worth the wait.
*I'm in the middle of trying to lose baby weight for the second time-I need you Jenessa!!
*As Tina would say-I am 29 for the second time.
*Ethan and I watched "Bolt" for the second time and shared it with Mike.
*I got a calling in relief society in the second ward we've been in since we've been married.
