Color Me Rad and NieNie

Mike ran the Color Me Rad 5k last week and was covered in color at the end. It was so chaotic that I couldn't find him, everyone looked the same! I called him and eventually we found eachother. The kids thought it was fun, all except Jackson. He was sleeping when we got there and woke up when the guy spoke on the loud speaker! Then he screamed and cried until we left. It was not very pleasant for him.
I made sure the kids wore old clothes incase they got color thrown on them. We got lucky there but not so lucky with the powder being blown all over and getting on my NEW stroller. There's still powder on it.
Mike and the kids after the race!

On another note, I read NieNie's book and really liked it. Emma was asking for "the pictures in the airplane book" tonight and it took me a while to figure out it was NieNie's book she wanted to look at. I caught her reading it and I think it's a really cute picture of my baby girl!

We went to the ZOO!

We took advantage of the nice weather during spring break and went to the zoo.
Ethan really wanted to go and I was going to be brave and go out on my own with all 3 kids, but then my friend invited me to go with her and her family! Phew! It was very helpful to have 6 other adults, especially in the crowded areas!
We had a blast and enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. The kids were very well behaved and Emma really only complained when I told we were not going on the merry-go-round and when she pooped in her diaper and we had to wait until we got to a bathroom to change her.
We got lots of pictures, mostly the normal ones, ones where we had to wait in line to get, like this one
Ethan in the lion drinking fountain.
He didn't fit as well as Emma
All of us by the big gorilla
We took a short break for the babies to eat and the big kids to have a drink break
Jackson slept most of the time.
He woke up when he wanted to eat then he was back to sleep,
He was pretty happy the whole time!
The big elephant was a hit, even when it wasn't spraying water.

The big cats were pretty cool too. We saw 3 tigers, one walked over our heads on the bridge between the two tiger habitats.
Emma didn't want to see the giraffes, I thknk because they smell. But we stopped to see the ones outside the giraffe house. One came up as close as it could get. Had one of us had really skinny arms, we could have reached out and touched it's tongue!
Ethan wanted to see the elephants, check, Emma wanted to see the zebras, no check there, they aren't there anymore :( I just wanted to get out of the house and do something fun over spring break, double check.
Today we had a picnic on the family room floor and watched Phineas and Ferb, per Ethan's request. Now I have 3 more days and need to try to find more fun stuff to do...wish me luck!

Here comes trouble...

Ethan had the shirt Jackson is wearing when he was a baby, it says "here comes trouble" and when we were school shopping and saw the shirt he's wearing that also says "here comes trouble," I knew I had to get it for him. When both my boys wore their trouble shirts on the same day, I had to get a picture!
And then I had to get Emma in a picture too cause she's just so cute!

Sweetist Girl EVER!!

Emma is my favorite girl. I really love her and her personality. I admit, I was nervous about how she was going to act and react after Jackson was born but look at thisI think she likes him. I take that back, I know she loves him because she is constantly telling him, "I love you, Jackson!" It's so sweet and it makes me smile.
She loves her bath and even when she dumps water all over the floor, she always says, "I'm sorry, Mama!" All sweet like so I have to not be mad at her and who could be with a face like this?
She loves to blow kissy faces when I try to take a picture
And look at those eyes. Who could not love her?
She got a dress-up kit for Christmas and she pulls it out almost everyday and dresses up in her dresses. While they are hard for her to put on and she complains and throws a mini fit trying to put them on, she's trying to do it by herself and she always looks so pretty with the dresses on.
Other sweet and funny things Emma does:
*She will, out of the blue, come up to me, give me a hug, and tell me she loves me
*She loves both her brothers
*The best thing, that's pretty recent, is when Mike leaves to go to work, she will say, "Bye Daddy Pickle!" She'll call him Daddy Sandwich sometimes too, it makes us laugh
*We played Disney Headbanz last night for FHE and when she would get her card to guss who she was, she would take it off her headband and look at it, put it back on, and ask if she was who was on her card! When it wasn't her turn, she'd still tell us who we were. The best was when we were someone that she didn't know! hahaha, the joke was on her!
*When I do her hair in the morning, or attempt to do it, and ask if she wants a clip or a ponytail, when she doesn't, she says, "Not today!" but in a sweet voice.
*She loves to make her baby brother happy
*Just now she put on her witch hat, grabbed her broom, hopped on it, and cackled
*I don't know what I would do without her. Sure, there are times when it's hard to be her mom, but she's two! And the times that are the BEST to be her mom out number the times when it's hard.
I love you, Emma!
(attitude and all)
