Life!

*I'm tired!
*I have a headache-probably because I'm so tired!
*My house looks like a tornado has come through...all the time! Toys, markers, crayons, paper, stickers everywhere...constantly!
*I hear, "I'm bored!" "He or she hit me, punched me pushed me, etc" all the time!
*Sunday is not a day of rest for me. I get myself and 3 kids ready and out the door and on time to church every week. I then have to entertain them and keep them quiet...all by myself!
*I am EXHAUSTED after sacrament meeting every Sunday!
*I have very tired arms by 2:00 pm every Sunday!
*I hardly see my husband during the week!
*Ethan is complaining because he has to teach the family home evening lesson and he doesn't know what to teach.
*My house may or may not get vacuumed or mopped every week!
*Ethan forgot his Star Wars hoodie at school Friday, the only day it was cold enough to need a hoodie!
But I wouldn't change one thing!
*I'm tired because Jackson waked up in the middle of the night, just to cuddle with me. Then he wakes up about 6:30 to eat and goes right back to sleep.
*My house has had Tornado Emma rip through, but she does leave fun pictures.
*Ethan and Emma are bored, because I've been ready for the day by breakfast and instead of turning on the TV, I suggest games, legos, crafts, etc to keep us busy and spend time together. They get over their boredom quickly!
*Because Jackson wakes up at 6:30 and then goes right back to sleep, it gives me a chance to read my scriptures in a quiet house.
*Mike is in the bishopric and I know the Lord has blessed me, him, our kids, and our family as a whole because of his service and dedication to the Lord and to our ward.
*I have a ton of stuff in my church bag to keep the kids quiet...they love it all!
*I love to listen to Ethan teach FHE because it shows me how much he has learned, wheather from me or his primary leaders.
*When my baby is napping during the day, I like to keep things quiet and spend time with Emma while Ethan's at school.
*Friday's weather turned around by the time school was out and Ethan is so excited to come home that the little things may be forgotten.

If I weren't tired, frustrated, or live in a semi-unclean home, it would mean that I wouldn't have
him

or her
 or him
 and without him
*my life would be boring.
*I wouldn't know the joy of being a wife and a mother
*I wouldn't have unconditional love from all 4 of the above
*My life wouldn't mean as much to me as it does right now!

we go to the library (where the AC works) check out books, and read in the backyard.
 Emma reads on the slide
 Ethan reads on the blanket
Jackson just hangs out!
Oh and we have ice cream too!
(I didn't get pictures of that though)

Color Me Rad and NieNie

Mike ran the Color Me Rad 5k last week and was covered in color at the end. It was so chaotic that I couldn't find him, everyone looked the same! I called him and eventually we found eachother. The kids thought it was fun, all except Jackson. He was sleeping when we got there and woke up when the guy spoke on the loud speaker! Then he screamed and cried until we left. It was not very pleasant for him.
I made sure the kids wore old clothes incase they got color thrown on them. We got lucky there but not so lucky with the powder being blown all over and getting on my NEW stroller. There's still powder on it.
Mike and the kids after the race!

On another note, I read NieNie's book and really liked it. Emma was asking for "the pictures in the airplane book" tonight and it took me a while to figure out it was NieNie's book she wanted to look at. I caught her reading it and I think it's a really cute picture of my baby girl!

We went to the ZOO!

We took advantage of the nice weather during spring break and went to the zoo.
Ethan really wanted to go and I was going to be brave and go out on my own with all 3 kids, but then my friend invited me to go with her and her family! Phew! It was very helpful to have 6 other adults, especially in the crowded areas!
We had a blast and enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. The kids were very well behaved and Emma really only complained when I told we were not going on the merry-go-round and when she pooped in her diaper and we had to wait until we got to a bathroom to change her.
We got lots of pictures, mostly the normal ones, ones where we had to wait in line to get, like this one
Ethan in the lion drinking fountain.
He didn't fit as well as Emma
All of us by the big gorilla
We took a short break for the babies to eat and the big kids to have a drink break
Jackson slept most of the time.
He woke up when he wanted to eat then he was back to sleep,
He was pretty happy the whole time!
The big elephant was a hit, even when it wasn't spraying water.

The big cats were pretty cool too. We saw 3 tigers, one walked over our heads on the bridge between the two tiger habitats.
Emma didn't want to see the giraffes, I thknk because they smell. But we stopped to see the ones outside the giraffe house. One came up as close as it could get. Had one of us had really skinny arms, we could have reached out and touched it's tongue!
Ethan wanted to see the elephants, check, Emma wanted to see the zebras, no check there, they aren't there anymore :( I just wanted to get out of the house and do something fun over spring break, double check.
Today we had a picnic on the family room floor and watched Phineas and Ferb, per Ethan's request. Now I have 3 more days and need to try to find more fun stuff to do...wish me luck!

Here comes trouble...

Ethan had the shirt Jackson is wearing when he was a baby, it says "here comes trouble" and when we were school shopping and saw the shirt he's wearing that also says "here comes trouble," I knew I had to get it for him. When both my boys wore their trouble shirts on the same day, I had to get a picture!
And then I had to get Emma in a picture too cause she's just so cute!
