Not boring!!

When I was growing up, I knew I wanted to be a mom. I knew I wanted to stay home with my kids and play all day long. (Cleaning and laundry were there too, but I chose to focus on the fun.) However, I never thought my life would be this NON BORING!
Jackson refuses to eat with his tray on the high chair anymore and he really doesn't like to be spoon fed. Tonight we had pasta roni with grilled chicken and garlic bread (mmm, it was delicious!) so I gave him a plate of food, his drink, and a fork and let him go to town!
He still hasn't mastered the fork so he took matters (or noodles) into his own hands
 Mmmm
He sure did make a mess...look at my table!
(somehow things got out of order so stay tuned for the picture of the high chair!)
Emma loves to color on paper plates and I don't care!
Ethan picked up on the fun too.
This top picture was drawn by Ethan
Emma is a GREAT artist and loves to draw faces and people
 Ahh, the high chair
Messy Jackson!
 (more paper plate art)

While I was cleaning up, I put Emma and Jackson in the bath, mostly so they would stay out of my way. And after cleaning up wet noodles all over the floor and mopping up Emma's juice she spilled (I just mopped yesterday!) I found these two squirts just where I left them
Just to make sure Jackson wasn't throwing too many toys out of the bath (his favorite past time lately), I sent in the reinforcement and he was prepared with a gun!
 (no bullets)
I do get frustrated and onry at times, but this face
 and this face
 and then together
They make it all better.....most of the time. I try really hard to stay mad but they make it hard when they smile.
Ethan is the BEST helper too! He is so willing to help watch Emma and Jackson when they are in the bath, he hardly ever causes mischief (anymore), he helps me with dinner. Just a few weeks ago, I was making dinner, the stove was hot, the oven was hot and Jackson just wanted me. Ethan, without any prompting by me (but maybe the Holy Ghost) dropped what he was doing and said, "I'll play with Jack so you can make dinner!" That made my day. I love that kid and what a great helper he is.
Now I say he hardly causes mischief, but he is right now! He's running around the basement having a nerf gun fight with Mike!
Like I said, we are not boring here!
And I wouldn't have it any other way!!

My mantra lately!

Remember my post with these pictures?

This one had to be added today!
My book case is usually FULL to the MAX but if you can see there are two nearly empty shelves cause Jackson got to them.
Whatever!
At this stage in my life, this is my new mantra...
I have a feeling my house will look similar to the above pictures for at least the next 10-12 years!

Just for fun!

Jackson is just like his mom! He loves chocolate and to get him to let me cook, I give him a bowl of chocolate.

He usually leaves to eat it in the living room!
The older he gets, the more Jackson is like Ethan. Cars, cars, cars, everywhere!
Jackson is silly too! Drinking juice under the table!
Ethan and Emma like to snuggle and watch tv on my bed. It's cute so I take pictures of em!
I had a relief society activity that was a Hawaiian theme and I joked about wearing a coconut bra, over my shirt of course. When it was pulled out...Emma wanted to try it on!
My kids love to dress up for holidays, St Patrick's Day was no different!
Then I asked Ethan to take a picture of me and Mike!

Eating like a big boy!

Jackson has decided that he'd rather eat at the table, like a big kid, than eat with the tray on his high chair.
Just another reason that we need a bigger kitchen! There's just not room for all 5 of us to eat at the table, and still move around in the kitchen.

Dino fun!!

Ethan loves dinosaurs when he was about 20 months until he was 3 1/2! Then he found other stuff, hot wheels, transformers, bakugons. Lately it's been Star Wars, Legos, Wii games, but in the last couple of weeks, he has found a new love for dinosaurs and is sharing the love with Jackson.
Ethan woke up Saturday morning and asked to go to the dinosaur museum. I wanted to go and I knew Jackson would have fun too, so we waiting until after Jack's nap, which was super long (3 hours plus!). We headed out and got there around 5. I also knew it would take a long time so we tried to fill the kids up on snacks before we left.
It was fun to get out of the house and into the museum again.
Jackson looks so small next to the dino leg and foot.
Ahhh, the cave. My kids are goofballs but I love em!
 Ethan and the Utahraptor
 See, Jackson had fun
The kids and Mike designed their own dinosaur. It was prett cool. 3 heads, 2 tails, 6 legs, and a bunch of spikes!
Ethan and Emma loved the sand and water area!

Eventhough it was after bedtime when we left to go home, the kids were all so good and we had so much fun. I sure do love these kiddos!

We love the craziness!

We are nuts at my house. We love to be crazy and silly and it shows in my pictures!
Emma was coloring with markers and I think used her mouth to hold the marker lid so when she put the lid back on this happened!
My kids love push pops, really any sugar, but these were earned. We went to Target to get new underwear for Ethan and Mike told Emma that her job was to yell at everyone she saw that Ethan was getting new underwear! I told her if she did, she'd get a push pop! She did! It was so funny.
But so the boys wouldn't feel left out, I got one for each of them too!
My dad made a rocking horse for my kids for Christmas a few years ago. They love it! Jackson has recently discovered that it is FUN!
(that's not a look of fright, it's a look of excitement!)
Last week Ethan's school had crazy hair day. He wanted his hair colored green! Then Emma wanted sparkles in her hair. It was her dance day (hence the leotard) and I thought it would be appropriate to get a picture of the crazy haired kids!
Yeah, you can't really see the sparkles but they are there and she was so pretty!
Ahhh, gfeen! (He didn't come home this green though!)
I got Jackson involved too. Just a little green at the front!
