Happy Halloween

We had a good Halloween, as I write this, Mike is still out delivering pizzas, I sure hope he comes home with good tips! Ethan and Emma and I had a fun time with my parents, sister, and her girls. Ethan dressed up as Spiderman and looked pretty cool. Emma's too young to dress up so she wore a cute halloween outfit.

Ethan, showing his big muscles, and Meg aka Hannah Montana!

Here are all the kids that went trick or treating with Ethan.

Mike's mom got Ethan some glowing bracelets to wear and I made me a cool necklace but Emma wanted it and grabbed it from me.
Both kids fell right asleep when we left my parents' house and stayed that way. Lets hope that it stays that way until morning!

A lazy Sunday afternoon

Last Sunday I was in the living room and knew that Mike had Emma in our room, but it was aweful quiet so I decided to go explore and this is what I found...

Hemangioma

For those of you who have seen this ugly thing on Emma's head and wondered who dropped her, it's a hemangioma. I took her to the doctor today because it's been getting bigger. He said that is normal and it will continue to get bigger and uglier before it gets better and goes away. Her body will get rid of it on it's own between the ages of 1 and 2. He listened to the sounds in her head, her chest, and by her liver (where they can also develop) and there are no signs of more or this one interfering with her brain development. He felt her skull and it is not in a place that will interfer with her head growth either. While it's ugly, it doesn't hurt her in anyway and will disappear soon enough.

Celebrity crushes

Hee Haws

For our FHE activity this week we went to Hee Haws to pick out a pumpkin for our front porch. Ethan was so excited and couldn't wait...

But he did have to make a pit stop first.

This was his first experience with a port-a-potty and all he could ask was, "Does it flush automatically?" Those toilets really freak him out.

After he felt better, he found the tire swings that looked like horses. He was very excited about those.

Emma couldn't have cared less, but she looked pretty cute.

And here's my Farmer Ethan. Grandpa Callister would be so proud

A good habit

Yesterday at lunch, Ethan sat down and said a prayer, without being asked. Mike and I looked at each other and Mike said, "Hmm, a good habit to have." I think we just might be doing something right...

What do 4 year olds do when general conference is on?

They build the temple out of blocks during Saturday morning's session (with a little help from Dad)

And they play with the new batcave (they got for their birthday from Grandma Herrington) during Sunday morning's session.

Couch potato

This is how I found by baby last week, chillin' on the loaf-a-sofa with her bottle not too far away...Dad's pretty close too.
(I don't know what happened, her eyes are a little deamonish in this picture, but she's really sweet! I must need to switch something around on my camera.)
