New baby

Nope not ours, my cousin's! We went to see my favorite cousin, Julie's, new baby boy Saturday. It was fun to have Ethan see Logan and the other babies that were in the nursery. When we first got there, there was a baby girl right up next to the glass and we looked at her and I told Ethan that his baby sister was going to be about that big when she is born. After a few minutes with the Huntington's new baby, Ethan asked to go see that baby girl again! I think he's beginning to understand that there will be a new baby in our house soon, and that we will have a baby GIRL!
Just 10 more weeks!

A sandbox and Batman

About a month ago I had finally bugged Mike enough that he broke down, went to Home Depot, and bought some wood for a sandbox! Yeah, we finally have a sandbox. (I have been wanting one since we moved into our house almost 2 years ago. Mike did a great job putting the frame together and even found a guy that was giving sand away for FREE! Unfortunately, we could never get through to the guy and had to go buy our sand. After the frame was built, the weather turned cold and then we left to Florida. But Saturday was a great day and Mike found a truck to borrow, thanks Paul and Cami, and we got our sand. I think Ethan likes it, don't you?
Today we had playgroup in our backyard and all the three year olds loved the sandbox. Even the kids who were almost 2 loved it! It was a hit and I'm so glad that we finally have our sandbox!

The last time I got Ethan tennis shoes, I got him batman ones. (He had had spiderman but we couldn't find spiderman again.) Little did I know that his batman shoes came with a batman costume. A mask and a cape! Score! He loves it and asks to dress up like batman on a regular basis. The other day he just looked so cute that I had to take a picture of him.

Animal Kingdom

Day 3 was a fun day! Animal Kingdom was so cool. We started off by seeing a bug show called, "It's Tough (or was it rough?) to be a Bug!" It was a 3D show with puffs of air, sprays of water, pokes in the back, and at the end, when the bugs left, we felt them on our butts! Ethan freaked out about the scary stuff, but I thought it was pretty cool. After the show, we went on the safari. That was so cool. The sign did say that "expectant mothers shouldn't't ride," but I figured it'd be fine. All it was was a ride in a jeep. It was rough but nothing too bad, especially compared to the rough turbulence we experienced on our plane ride to FL. We saw rhinos, ostriches, lions, a few different kinds of antelopes and deer, crocodiles, elephants, and a bunch of other cool animals. On our way to the safari, we came across some really cool drums that the kids, and some adults, played just because they could.

Ethan and Meg drummed away and were quite the band.Mike is such a kid at heart, I love it, and he wanted to join in the fun.

Then it was a daddy-son band that graced us with their musical talents.
Animal Kingdom has a cool dinoland area and I just knew that Ethan would love it. There was even a ride just like the Dumbo ride at Magical Kingdom. He went on that twice and loved it! He still talks about it. There is a cool replica of Sue the T-rex that we went to look at.
Then, of course, here are my dinos. They are t-rexes. Ethan puts his two fingers out just like t-rex claws. It's so funny.
After three full days of fun in the FL sun, our family headed back to our rental house for a dip in the pool and relaxing, all before dinner even. We had a great time and hope someday to be able to go back.

Flashback Friday

Oh, boy! Weren't we young?!?
This picture was taken about 6 months after we got married at Mike's sister, Becca's, apartment. Sometimes I miss the days when we lived at Wymount with Becca and Seneca, Dave and Jocelyn! But I wouldn't take my life back! I love where we are now and everything about it!

Hollywood Studios

I didn't take as many pictures this day, it may be because I had a really bad headache and when that felt okay, my tummy was upset! I just couldn't catch a break on day 2! But I still had fun, I had ice cream, twice, saw a really cool stunt car show, saw a stunt show for Indiana Jones (one of my favorites), and did a bunch of other fun stuff. No Tower of Terror, sadly, but it may have put me in labor so I'm glad I didn't go on it. I just told Mike to think of me at least on one of his trips up there. I think he went twice.
Here are Mike and Ethan just as we got there. I saw a Toy Story sign and knew that I needed a picture of Ethan in front of it. He just loves Toy Story.
Ethan also loves Cars. Here we all are in front of Mater. McQueen is behind Mater and my dad tried to get our picture with him, but there were just too many people in the way and we didn't want to wait in line, we just snuck in to the front of the line.
Those are all the cool pictures from day 2, but I have more really fun ones, at least in my opinion, for tomorrow!

Disney World...day 1

A big thanks to my parents for a fabulous trip to Florida and Disney World last week! We Herrington's had so much fun and have some great memories of our trip and family time.
Here are the three of us on day one, our visit to the Magical Kingdom. (I guess it's really the four of us, huh?)Our first ride was the jungle cruise. I knew Ethan would love it due to his love of animals. Mike was so kind to let Ethan ride on his shoulders while in line!

Next, we hit Pirates...oh yeah! Mike was a little tired of carrying Ethan but Ethan wanted to be carried. My dad was so great to offer to let Ethan ride on his back while in line. (Not the whole time though, do you blame him? Ethan is nearing 40 pounds and can get quite heavy after just a few minutes.) Thanks Dad! And thanks to Mom for getting Ethan a pirate sword. After the ride, he saw the sword and cried, "All I want is a pirate sword!"

I'm not a huge fan of going around in circles, especially when I'm 6 months pregnant! I get sick on the tilt-a-whirl and the thought of the merry-go-round makes me sick too. Ethan wanted to go on the Dumbo ride and Isabel was so nice and said she'd go with him. What a great family I have!!
And last, but not least, here are me and my prince in front of a castle. My favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty, but her castle is in Disneyland, so Cinderella's castle just had to due!

Tune in later for our next two days...Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom!
