Ethan loves the temple and can pick one out from a line up. Sometimes, he even thinks the church is the temple. I decided today to take him to the Mount Timpanogos Temple and walk around so he could see a, as he called it, "big temple." This is on our way up to the temple.
We are still making our way up the road to the temple.
Some of you may recognize this bench. It is the same bench that Mike and I, and Bryan and Melissa, had family pictures taken on after our wedding.
I think this was a good experience for Ethan to see the temple, up close and personal. All he has seen so far are pictures. Doesn't he look happy to be so close to the temple?
Ethan was so excited to see the temple that he ran towards the entrance. He got just beyond this point and then I got him. He is anxious to go inside and see what it is like in there. I told him he had to be patient and in 10 years he can go inside and do baptisms, I excluded for the dead on purpose.

That is so cute. I wish we lived close enough to the temple to take Whitney to visit. Next time we go to Utah we'll have to do that! And yes, I'd love to read a post about you and Mike like the one on my blog. I'm interested in hearing more about you as a couple!
Hey Karen. This is Andrea Paxman. Thanks for posting on my blog. I love when I get notes from new visitors! Looks like you guys are in the Utah County area and doing well! Your little Ethan is adorable! Out of curiosity, how'd you find our blog? I visited some of the people on your blog and recognized a few, but wasn't sure because most have married names now. Anyway, I'll be back checking up on this blog so come back and visit mine anytime. It's fun to catch up with old friends!
Andrea--I went to my sister's blog and found people's names I recognized, and kept doing that until I found you. We are in PG, where are you and Nate? I hope you don't think I'm too snoopy? It's fun to find people I went to school with and find out what they are up to.
All I have to say is that is looks cold. You should bring Ethan to Vegas and see the temple. You won't be freezing this time of year. By the way, who did you look at to find your friend and isn't that the girl who married Josh's friend Nate?
What a cool idea for an activity. I am proud of you for going outside even though it is FREEZING! I feel like I haven't been warm in ages. You are such a great Mom, Karen.
Karen,
I am interested in how you found us...I must be snoopy too because I like to look around and find people I know. To Kristen and Matt, yes I did marry Nate Paxman, Josh's friend. I was hoping to find a blog for Josh since it's been years since I've seen or talked to him. How is he anyway?
We live in Davis County, about an hour north of where we grew up.
Andrea--Here's the deal. My sister has Greg Bilboa's sister on her blog, and then their younger brother, then Murray Tucker (who got married right after my younger brother and who was friends with him in high school, then Todd Nuttall (who I knew in high school, and from there, I just looked at random people and found Briana Dommer and then your name. I was excited to find people that I knew! That's the skinny. I looked more at your blog today, your kids are very cute! I can't believe it's been 10 years since graduation. Time flies! My husband hasn't quite hit that year yet, he's a youngin'. Did you know Angie Marsing in high school? She is on my blog, Angie and Phil. My cousin, Julie, used to live by Nate and Josh. Nathan Thomas used to be friends with my cousin Tommy. They are both on my blog too. Oh, and Lane Muranaka! I was good friends with his wife when they moved back to Utah, they moved again to Idaho. Lane works for BYU-I. I think that's all the people that you may know on my blog. I'll leave the how's Josh doing up to Kristen. I know he lives in SLC and has a baby boy, Jeffrey, I can't even remember when he was born!
It totally cracks me up that you were able to find us. I've found people that way too and I just get excited when it happens! I'm going to add your blog to my page so I can come back and visit often. So you're a cougar marrying a younger man--way to go!! I'd love to hear how Josh is doing. We were such good friends, but have lost contact over the years. I'm sure he's an amazing dad!
