Spoiled?

If you never heard our story about our trip to Nebraska last week, we were delayed 3 hours! At first when we checked in, we were told we wouldn't make our connecting flight and wouldn't get a flight until the next day. Well, that just wouldn't work because we HAD to get to Nebraska for Mike's brother's wedding. Mike fought, kindly, but frustratedly, with the lady at ticketing. She booked us for a flight that left Denver, our connection, at 7:30, 3 hours after our original flight. But to compensate us, she up graded us to first class. Was it worth it? Not to me. Now when we got to Denver, there were 6 or 7 people on our flight that needed to make the connection to Omaha too and they were told they might be able to make it. We were originally on that flight so we booked it over to the gate, that plane was delayed too, and we were told our tickets were sold to someone else. Stupid lady at ticketing just took us off the flight when all the other people on our first plane were left on the flight and told they could switch flights if they missed the plane. We were so mad, and not at all still upset, right? Needless to say, unless I get free flights at Christmas time to go see Mike's family, we will not be flying United again.
Here is Mike relaxing and enjoying first class. The seats are bigger and I actually got a snack (I guess you only get them on United if you are in first class) and my drink in a GLASS cup and then refilled when the flight attendant saw I was getting low.
Ethan enjoyed himself too. Unfortunately, I tried to keep him quiet so he wouldn't disrupt the other first class people. You know, those who actually paid for the seat.
After flying first class, when we boarded our returning flights, Ethan wanted to sit down in the big chairs and got upset when we didn't.

Oooh. That is bad. I've never flown first class, but a drink out of a glass cup doesn't sound like it's worth the extra $$$$! Oh yeah, bigger seats...maybe.

It is hard enough to have delays, but even harder with children. I'm glad you made it there and back.
